GIGABYTE G1 GUERILLA LGA 1366 INTEL X58

Hi all im looking at building my new rig and as money is tight im looking at the GIGABYTE G1 GUERILLA LGA 1366 INTEL X58 with a I7 920/950 CPU.

Looking at memory for this and can anyone confirm wether or not these are compatable??



Corsair XMS Triple Channel DDR3 1600Mhz

If not then ill probs go for Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1066MHz but was also wondering what the performance differencies between the two.

Sorry if it seems a noob Q but been along time since i built my Core 2 Quad rig which has died..

Current rig is (or was)

Intel Core 2 quad Q6600

Asus Striker Extreme

4 GB XMS2

nVidea 450 GTX

Antec 900 Case

60GB OCZ Vertex 2 2.5" SSD

They will work fine, when i was looking at ram when i finished my 1366 system in january i noticed the auction ram was was going cheeper than buy it now generaly and i managed to pick up 6gb ddr3 2000 for £35

a quick search brought up these with 3 hours left, that will probably go for around £40-45 (nice tight timings at the same 1600mhz) http://www.ebay.co.u...=item43aed3ac01

differences between 1066 and 1600 wont be massive but there will be a slight loss in performance with the 1066 so if the cost difference is minimal for the 1600 it would be worth it.
