Gigabyte DES2 BSOD issues

Hi guys,

With my Gigabyte P67A-USD3P-B3 board when I use the DES 2.0 software and come back from sleep the computer BSODs. It has also even crashed viewing videos on youtube once and once again playing a game.

I am using windows 7.

Even though it does this my PC is fully stable on Prime 95, Intel burn test and Memtest+.

It did the same with my non B3 board.

Is this a known issue with DES 2 when overclocking or with the latest intel chips...

It seems to be fine when I don't run the DES feature, but I kinda liked the power savings and the phase LEDs...

Thanks,

Laurence

As a complete aside I like the colour scheme on your avatar picture. Is that a HAF X ? Do you mind posting some piccies of it, or do you have a build log.

Could you post the details given on the BSOD? I won't be able to make sense of them but other people on here will.

To me it sounds like a drive issue, I've heard it mentioned that some graphics drivers will cause BSODs on trivial tasks, but that's almost ruled out if there aren't any problems without DES.

Or perhaps whatever power saving features DES gives doesn't provide any overclock you have with enough power? That's an assumption however as I'm not wholly familiar with DES.
