Getting ram to run at 2000mhz on R3E

Hi, i've got asus rampage 3 extreme, and 6gb of dominator GT 2000mhz ram, and can not for the love of me, get it running at the rated speed. tried xmp, tried entering all settings and timings manually, even streched the qpi out to 1.67 and and dram at 1.7, but best i could get was a windows boot, and severly unstable!! im in the middle of a rebuild at the moment, but was just curious as to wether anyone has achieved it, and if so what were as many as possible of your bios settings. think my old i7 920 CO stepping may have weak imc too

Let us know whats setting you used in the bios because tbh it will be something you have done wrong.

I'm struggling with this also.

The best I can manage at the moment is the CPU (i7 950) @ 4GHz and the memory running at 1603Mhz.

you probably need more QPI but tbh just saying that isnt going to help us help you as we need to know all the settings you have entered.

) and havent been on it if a few weeks now, but i'll try and remember. manual tuner, bckl 200(i actually tried a few variants some even a little under, cant seem to get stable at even like 1800>)i also dropped multi's right down to take the cpu out of the equation? the timings i manually set were 8-9-8-24, trc 51,trfc 104(think i also tried 110), trrd 8(i got 8 written down but think r3e only goes to 7??) twr 15,twtr 8,trtp 8,tref 7.8us, 2t?? tried qpi at variants from 1.25-1.68, and dram from 1.65-1.73, pll at bout 1.88, did you need anymore settings? i should hopefully finish my build within a week or so, i might be more help then. just curious to see what volts/timings ppl were hitting it at?

also the only time i could even make it into windows was with those max voltages(1.65QPI 1.73DRAM, and think i had 1.28IOH) and extremely, unstable!!
