Gene, Formula or Other?

I am having a bit of trouble I am trying to choose a new motherboard, I am looking at either the Maximus II Formula or the Maximus II Gene. I am leaning towards the Formula. I would just like your recommendation, as for other... I have a budget of £170 could reach 200 but would rather not.

the gene is basically the same board mate but in a smaller package, if you can stretch too the formula get it! much better cooling i have owned the formula and its outstanding in overclocking department and im soon too be an owner of the gene so i cant really say until i've owned both, best person too ask is probs jim as he's had his hands on both i think

edit and the formula has a huge phase

Thanks Ghost, I am thinking the same as I will be watercooling it too sometime. That is if I ever get round to it, as I was telling Tom I have had my kit for a year and it is still in the box haha

lol yeah the formula would be superb too watercool as it has screw blocks and not them annoying pins!

I am ordering the formula as well as a 4890 and 750W Corsair this weekend, hopefully a Q9550 as well.

Q9550

HD4890

I could buy:

Corsair 650

E8400

GTX285

Ofc models vary along with pricing.

I'm sure there's arguments for both camps. Gaming mostly tho, I'm not so sure.

Now i have GB 965p-ds3 and E5200@3,5 air cooles

but want to get water cooling with this new mobo

and oc o'course.

Well, I have got some more money! yay! I am going to stick with the quad and the Q9550 and 4890 mostly because I am only gaming on a 17" and it allows me to get more RAM as well. So final specs are going to be:

Q9550 replacing an e6750

Asus Maximus 2 Formula replacing a GA-P35C-DS3R

Corsair 750W replacing a Hyper Type-R 560W

4GB of Dominator 1066 replacing broken Crucial Balistix

XFX 4890 replacing a 8800GTS 640MB

thats one hell of an upgrade mate hope you enjoy the lot, im going too save my cash till september for the 5870 release this 9800gtx + 9600gt is holding up great for the time being on my gene p45
