Geforce GT640 for folding

Hey guys,

Looking to get a ARIANET GT640 2GB version, and I was wondering what the PPD numbers would be like from this card. (It's got 384 CUDA Cores, but I don't know what the hell that means due to me never owning a Nvidia card)

Also, if you guys have used it/using it atm, how is it temperature wise? Asking this as it's going to be going into my HP folder. (Airflow is rubbish in this case, managed to blu tack a intake fan in place )

As a side note, My HP folder has got a 650W power supply (HP standard PSU, Not looking to change this) Don't know what it pulls when both xeons are folding though, but will the standard 650W be enough for the stuff inside + a GT640?

If you guys know of any other cards that are better/will perform better, please suggest them

This will just be an estimate. The 650 gives around 10000 PPD, so this should give around 6 - 8k. What's your budget for the card?

The 650W PSU should be fine.

Budget for the card is probs around £100 or more. Only reason I'm tempted to grab the 640 from Aria is because I've got some remaining credit from an RMA.

Edit: 6000-8000 PPD seems quite reasonable actually, thought it would be in the 5000 ish mark.

I'm not entirely sure though, but it shouldn't be below the 5k mark.
