Gaming keyboard

Im currently using a Microsoft standard keyboard. It has lasted for over 7 years and I really find it ergonomically satisfying. However, I was thinking of getting a wireless keyboard or a gaming keyboard. Which ones are good and will there be lag problems with wireless ones?

I`m still using a G15, it`s been a very good addition to gaming, particularly the programmable keys and the lcd readout.

Outside of game, the lcd screen I like to keep on it`s performance thing so I can watch cpu & ram behavior.

It`ll depend alot on what games u play too, I like to beta mmorpg games, and although they frown on using programmable methods for actions - eff em, they think I got 3 pairs of hands or summit ! lol

Pretty fair for fps games as u can set u`rself away from wasd if u choose. But not something to base the purchase of the keyboard on imo.

It`s media functions work well, but tbh - my trackball is next to the kb ??!?!!?

However, if I ever find myself dropping into dos - the keys don`t light up - so u gotta be either in a light room or use the force. (doesn`t happen too much outside of windoes installation)

Big price tag tho, so perhaps u should think about the types of game u play mostly and base u`r decision on that.

It looks kewl too btw ;)

Saitec Eclipse 2, is an awsome keyboard, mindya, so's the origonal

but i agree with Rast, the G15 is the best out there atm, as he said, for the programable G buttons, the screen, the media buttons, and the fact it all lights up amasingly

Need a source for Trackball Explorers myself. Since they stopped making them the substitutes are a real poor quality.

Kinda hoping some store has a backup of them in a warehouse somewhere >.<

Wouldn't mind a 'spare' myself - what I'd really like to see is a cordless explorer, not too much to ask is it

Thanks for the info guys.

The G15 sounds good but the price is quite a bit for a keyboard. Is it really worth that much? If so then I might invest in one, also are there any onther differences between the big daddy and little daddy (G15 & G11)? (apart from the LCD)

Ya the price dropped by £50 about a year ago, they were £99.

One thing I do know, I bought mine for £46 - 2 weeks earlier I`d seen one in CompUSA for $69 b4 tax. (box wouldn`t fit in meh case) I was also sure they were £99 b4 I went to the states so meh.
