It seems nvidia don't want to hurt sales of the GT and GTX by releasing another card that performs above them: according to The Inquirer
Well makes sense I spose. Hopefully it will mean nvidia can keep pushing prices for the 7800GTx down so I can get one in SLi
So yes - 512mb aside: the 7800GTX will remain top dawg
