im going to post this for ppl who r intrested in my progress.

still using very low volts and still priming.

got it to 3060 mhz prime stable both cores.

wanting to hit 3.1 ghz with only 1.45 volts.

so far im @ 3060 mhz and rising.

here is the link.

u just got to love these fx60 cpu-z. was thinking going back to phaze but

im on very quiet water system and prefer it to be more quiet @ higher overclocks.

thats nearly 1 ghz overclock on both cores with just a tad more on upping from stock volts.

edit sorry change of mind mach 2 gtr507 getting repaired so will try and see what she can do. ;)

The FX is more impressive for air/water users because of the inherant cold bug in the current steppings.

Its an impressive clock there daz mate, respect to ya - what multiplier/FSB are you using?

I can't wait for the ORB to open up to the x1900 scores you have achieved so far - can you drop these scores (05 and 06 in particular) in mbot with a screenie - team EPUK needs ya.

Cheers

just been talking to grey mole and he is fixing my mach 2gtr507.

he will be fitting new sensor and

402a regass, coilmod, chilly head,

might even be getting a mountain mods custom case for the mach 2 and even power coated to put mach 2 in under my case.

this will look amazing. does any1 know anything about the 402a regass is it good. getting excited about this mod should look great. ;)

You might get cold bug problems Daz with 402a chilly1 unit.

The MM would look the dogs though.

Daz your gonna not like it all of a sudden cos you will get cold bugged on a 402 unit. Scorchios holds around -20ish idle and the FX60 craps out at -11 I'm informed by mav.

Yep -8 or higher temps will open up the FSB for ya.

-8 idle will allow 230Mhz I reckon at zero degrees idle you could get 250Mhz.

What FSB you running now Daz?

my memory can do tight timings 2-2-3-6@ 225 fsb only.

so no need for high fsb just up multi would this help.

It dont help as much daz - but at r507 temps I cant get 225x15 to be 100% reliable - maybe r404 but more likely 134 would be better gases for this chip.

But the higher FSB shows great potential in the runs I have 'nearly' completed - but nearly dont get you a good score and certainly means it's no good for gaming so you have to run high multi instead - which limits the greatness of this CPU - still the fastest duallie out ther right now, just need to help it realise the use of high FSB.

Some Phase Test info for ya

Ran Super32m on core 0 with OCCT stability test on core 1 - 1.45v on core 212*15 = 3180mhz.

Probs not as fast as an x2 4800 at 263*12 under phase - but did not run this test before I sold to Dave.

Pics for your perusal.

I like to show the core voltage one as it showa how stable the PCP&P unit is under load, be even better if I could do this while running 3dbenchies.

so if i got my r507 regasses with r134 it would be better.

It's more likely to help with the FX60 chip Daz mate - but maybe a 404 gas tuned to 150w would be a good choice.

I got me a 134 Mach2 coming soon - but might not be soon enough to say yes or no before you have your mods done.

If you can hang on a couple of weeks................ have some better informed data for ya.

At 1.45v my FX unit peaked at 215*15 3.23Ghz and was OCCT/S'Pi 32m stable (running on Core 0 and 1 simultaneously).

Like an idiot I forgot to drop in pics - but that's great temps on R507 (-9 loaded) and solid stable overclock for gaming etc....

now ur talking. ;)

Phase best stable OC - with cold bug

Here's the most stable I can get running OCCT on core 0 and 32m Superpi on Core, take note of the temps that having to use the additional volts brings (extra volts to bring idle temps high enough to squeeze some more FSB).
