Disassembly

For the front panel, I removed the wire mesh as well as the honeycombed mesh beneath it. To give it a new look I made some cut outs from a 3mm thick clear plexiglass using a Dremel Motosaw.

Side panels painted with silver.

I also started painting the case with matte black then mounted the ID cooling fans on the front panel.

This will be a weathered themed mod so I started with a few details on the front panel.

Now I felt different about the side panels which came with the case so I decided to ditch them an make new ones from cutting and bending 3mm plexiglass.

To mount the new side panel on the back side of the case I will be using sliders :) this way the back will still be accessed with ease for cable management.

I will be back with more in just a few :)

This is a great looking mod project so far. I look forward to seeing more.

Welcome to the forums.

You mean ThermalTACKY or ThermalFAKE

The quality of their stuff is no where near good. Thats why they PAID all of the modder in the last competition to take part, they did it for the money and most of them hate the brand.

Such a pity because your work looks great but putting Tt stuff init just made it cheap and totally ruined it IMHO

I 100% totally agree with this.

There are way better W/C parts on the market than ThermalTACKY

Not really a fan of the case mod but as long as your happy with it that is all that matters.

Good Sir with all due respect I have nothing to do with whatever it is that's going on between you and Thermaltake or whatever you want to call them. I feel kind of sad that you dislike my work just because I am using a brand that you do not approve of.. Well I know I still have a lot to learn because I am still at the early stages on this wonderful hobby. But I love doing this so much, with that I will work with whatever I can get my hands on.

Nothing to do with me, just the way they are ripping off the whole industry.

As for taking what ever you can get, you should aim higher.

You work is great, settling for crappy low quality parts is just lowering the end product.

Its a pity.

Really enjoying this build log fella, you have some nice design skills and the build is coming along beautifully. As you've probably noticed Tt are not received with open arms here on OC3D but each to their own, they are a company with very questionable methods and ethics but still they are doing a lot for the modding communities and while this does not exempt them from past discrepancies there is no doubt they are trying to redeem themselves.

Keep up the great work dude it's looking good so far.

Nice work there mate :) but as TTL said aim higher. There are plenty of water cooling component manufacturers out the try EK or Bitspower it's worth a shot. You certainly have skills so show the builds you have done to different sponsors ;)

I appreciate it that you recognize my work and hope I can continue sharing this project here in OC3D 'coz more than anything, i'd love to share the craft with other modding enthusiasts and learn from them too.

Appreciated. :)

Just keep doing what you are doing. Regardless of what brands you use, there are always people here that will enjoy the build, get ideas from what you have done, or maybe provide suggestions (aside from using a different brand)

There are many here who dislike Thermaltake with a vengeance but that is their opinion and not yours. Thermaltake have been going on with very bad practises and stealing designs from the likes of Caselabs but I will digress...
