I ISAWELVIS New member May 17, 2009 #5 c_C it looks kind of big but since it consumes less power guess it doesnt needs a big heatsink
Rastalovich New member May 17, 2009 #6 Big thing with this for me is that it gives the likes of Intel a rough timeline in which to work with. If they are looking at 7 years, who knows what will happen. (be scary if 775, 4g, GT200 rigs are still performing extremely well with stuff - but with the current state of affairs, I wouldn't bet against it)

Rastalovich New member May 17, 2009 #8 Well it could end up being a big coupe. In order to go mainstream, they'd need 8086 license from Intel and a 64bit slice to AMD. Or blow both of them (which if they have balls they could) and have it run nix, which would probably include Apple. Or grow real balls and do 128bit off their own back. Thing is tho, the architecture is already in place, so what's done is done.

I might be saying something stupid here but doesn't the title say world's fastest processor?
