Well i tried really hard to get my bud on here but he just wont. so i have to do this. I gave him my old board and he bought a new video card and processor for it and weve got problems. Specs
AMD Athlon64 4000+ Sandy (new)
DFI LanpartyUT nF3Ultra S939 (prob board i guess)
BFG AGP 7800GS (new)
*were trying out different RAM*
2x1gig G.Skill Value PC3200
4x512mb Kingston ValueRAM 2700 (DC)
Ok problem 1.
We ran into some hefty RAM problems. When i had that board i used the Kingston (the same RAM i ran the OC on with that 3000+) and i had dual channel mode DDR333 at 2-2-2-5 2T. Well we put his RAM in there which is the G.Skill and the board wants to auto config it as 3-3-3-8 1T single channel DDR333. Ive read manuals, tried the only config options i could on the board for DC RAM and nothing. Well we get XP installed with it pretty stable and he gets his stuff installed again (fresh format) and as soon as we started up Beefy2 (Battlefield 2) we got blue screens.
We used our server to Google the error codes and we got whaked out crap like Mouseware was the problem or the MMX on his Intel processor was screwin up.:nono: He dosent have an Intel Microsoft!!!
Well we got tired of it, put my old RAM in it and it ran 2-2-2-5 DC DDR333 pefrectly. Ok so we run into more problems. Hes still getting the Intel blue screen (error code suggest an Intel processor error if you didnt get it) but no more MouseWare or RAM issues. Well i was like ok the 5.10 drivers didnt work for me actualy and i had to use the 9.35 remix drivers and the 5.10 ethernet drivers (board is whack man) and that seemed to fix the issue. (BTW all using 93.71 Nvidia drivers from their site for video). Well the only thing wrong now is his water on CSS is freakin out on him. First it would give you that look where your machine is locked up on the desktop and you try to move the window and get a mirrored of it all over the place. (Doing the stress test on CSS) but now its just white and wont budge. No other game is having a problem at all except the occational Intel error blue screen. Thats like, almost never now.
So problem really now is water on CSS acts funky and hes reinstalled many times and reupdated and nothing. Set all settings on low and nothing. Every other games water looks fine cept this ones. Is it video card or motherboard now? (Bios options for cpu and video and voltage set to default).
