Hey guys

I am currently starting a new lets play series for the first time and I plan on uploading it to youtube. I have done the recording of the gameplay and commentary with fraps but the original files are very big as in huge so what I am wondering is what software should I use to compress the file size and what software should I use to make the videos. Preferably free software as atm I am broke after buying my new pc.

I have a bandwidth limit with my isp so I obviously want the file sizes as low as possible but I would like to keep the quality as best I can.

Thanks for any help

never heard of vegas? lol

most people on youtube use it to compress/render the files using it since its fairly simple and quick

now the price...Im cant force you to use torrents or tell you to dl it that way but i can assure you that its there, you can always buy for couple houndred quid if you want to, but as i said i shouldnt really be promoting piracy

Loads of free stuff out there.

I still use VirtualDubMod for cuting frames, FormatFactory for some conversions, and MediaCoder for others (especially as it uses Cuda).
