Think that kinda defeats the reason for having it. If you use your browser you are on the site longer as far as stats are concerned

Not my choice lol, but ad displays = profit for OC3D which it needs! So I guess admins will find it ok.
Surely a specific topic thread will be easier to follow :crazy:

In a way not having a chat box will increase the number of threads created on the forum, and people who want to chat to other computer guys will have to use another means like msn. One of the reasons I like oc3d was because of the chat box that other forums don't seem to have, as I could get quick responses within seconds. As a forum member we need to get more active members as this foum seems to have very few dedicated members. I think there are about 20 members that contribute 80% of the forum content, and others come and go. Hopefully the new pc comp will attract more members to the forum. I am looking forward to some more experienced knowledge.
I've no problem with you creating a chat thread in the interim. Obviously though if what you want to talk about is something specific that may require more than a one line answer, starting a new thread with the proper title is the way to go.
The chatbox is fun to have. But if we've noticed one thing since installing it, its that the number of new threads has fallen rapidly. This has a knock-on effect on amount of time that people who don't use the chatbox spend on the forum (because there's sod all new to read / reply to)
