im not entirely sure this is the right place for it, but im looking for a way to convert .flac files so itunes will accept them, i know of free programs downloaded from the internet like freemake that would likely be able to convert to mp3 however issue is they dont always do a great job, freemake always made a weird noise at the very start of every clip it converted.

i was hoping i could be pointed towards something that will give me a good result in converting to a format itunes will accept so that i can sync this music onto my ipod.
thanks

DVDVideoSoft make rather good converters afaik, it's the only one i've ever used, i like my files in .flac. it's kinda ridiculous that itunes won't read .flac files though, made me chuckle.
inb4 a bunch of people link to the techsyndicate vid, don't even care.

iTunes can only read ALAC, which is Apple's version of FLAC. Simply convert to ALAC and they will work, and maintain the high quality.

what would you recommend using to convert it? i might try the above mentioned program

i downloaded the studio from dvdvideosoft, it was able to convert the.flac to mp3 files which should work with itunes. so far the audio quality seems flawless.
edit- it seems to be unable to do multiple files at a time.
