First watercooled spec check with diag

Hey guys I'd like to ask some advise about the following watercooled setup:

Btw: this will be my first attempt at watercooling. I've read lots in the past week and I have came up with this idea:

Would this be suitable?

I have just received my Lian Li V1000Z and I'm hoping to cut holes for the rad to sit on top as per diag above. Anyone who has any pointers on this also would be greatly appreciated!

Edit: as im cutting holes for the rad fans I still havent decided on which fans to get. Id kinda like to get fans with blue LED's as they would be visible from inside the case but if these are no good for shifting air then I dont mind ;)

I'm pretty sure there won't be enough space for the pump there mate. The GPU will get in the way. And you can't mount DDCs on their side.

wierd I have seen that pump mounted like that before, unless it was a different model. Any1 suggest another pump that would go there? And hang on the side?

According to Laing you can mount a DDC any way apart from up-side-down or with the inlet/outlet facing down.

Check out the >Laing DDC User Manual<

Just on a side note, that's a massive case to be mounting the rad externally and would look way better mounted inside imo

Its a V1000Z m8, not big at all. plenty of space inside but not enough for a 120.3 rad.

And plus i love rads on top and they perform better there too :)

Im trying to mount a 120mm triple rad on top of my thermaltake armor+ full tower. Any suggestions on ways to go about it other than rad mounting kit. I know people say buy L brackets and mount those but im not sure on the size screws to use. Any suggestions?

This may make me unpopular with a small few but i just can't see one good reason to externally mount a rad other than to spoil a good looking case.

Sorry but if your going to water cool your system, you're already taking on a pretty large commitment and spending a few quid so why not do it right in the first place rather than kid yourself a radiator plonked on top actually looks good and cools better stuck on top of your pride and joy.

I never really thought about that haha. Now I guess I need to find a good hiding place for a 120m triple rad maybe the back of the case would work?
