First time computer build, need some help! :(

Uhm Vsync means it makes the fps stable and not make fps or some sort of "fps"spikes right? Or am I mis informed. Now I'm getting confused, besides doesn't monitors have more refresh rate than that nowadays?

V-Sync basically just caps your FPS at your monitors refresh rate, which is usually 60Hz and sometimes 75Hz or 120Hz. It does this because your monitors refresh rate is the max your FPS will really be, even if it is saying to be higher, and this eliminates "screen tearing", which is when your monitor tries to display 2 images at once and you get a weird mismatched image. It has no use if your FPS is under your monitors refresh rate naturally.

And Josh is right, get one 670 for now as it will power one screen just fine, and if/when you finally upgrade the screens, get another 4GB card. Savvy?

Ahh alright. Thought it was something different. Thought it was when your fps get spikes or gets unstable Vsync lets it become stable again. Thanks for clearing it up. :)

Right, let's wrap this up today I still have other business I have to do before the end of this month so.

CPU - Intel Core i7-3770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU cooler - Noctua NH-D14 65.0 CFM CPU Cooler
Motherboard - MSI Z77A-GD65 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard
Memory - Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Hard drive - Crucial M4 512GB 2.5" Solid State Disk
- Samsung Spinpoint F4 2TB 3.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card - EVGA GeForce GTX 680 4GB Video Card (2-Way SLI)
Case - ?
Power Supply - Corsair 850W ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply
Optical drive - ?
OS - WIndows 7 Home Premium/Ultimate. Still not sure if I should get ultimate for the only purpose or getting 32 ram perhaps someday.

Things I'm unsure of: is the motherboard, either the MSI I linked or Sabertooth wich seems to be a few people's fav. Also I see people like Asrock extreme 4,Asus P8Z68-V PRO etc.
I've seen more reviews about the 3770K and they all cry about this overheating problem of Ivy bridge... I know there is one but you can get a stable 4.5 ghz without problems right?
With the Noctua cooler I don't need custom fans to achieve 4.5ghz or perhaps something higher?
Powersupply 850W, I see lower end builds than mine who have higher W. Don't I need more perhaps considering I might go 680 SLI and with all the overclocking? I want to be sure my system is powered enough as my friend bought his Prebuilt PC and his PSU has too low W's for battlefield..
Without a sound card installed in my PC there's still a socket to plugin my mic and stuff right ? I can still have sounds in my headset and/or my pc boxes right?
And last thing, the videocards as this is the most crusial of my build. Since I will play alot of games as I have alot of free time. I'm looking for a good card ofc wich 670 and 680 are I dont doubt that. but what I want is to have the cards at fullest potential.
With this I mean a game at DX11, 2560x1600, etc. I wish a stable 60 FPS on heavy games.
I'd love to play at graphics like these for example http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=fvwp&NR=1&v=KzjsTt_DzCw.
I know it's a new engine but I'm just saying playing at full fps, and those graphics is just wow. :)
I'll buy a setup for 3 monitors for now since I'll get 3. But I have to stick a bit with 1 for now. How is a SLI setup on 1 monitor does it deliver good performance or is SLI only for multi monitors? Keep in mind a SLI 680 setup is faster or better than a gtx 690 with is on the market for 1000$.
Aside from this. What brand should I go with? For example gigabyte, asus, evga etc.

Get rid of the 680! Imo the only two high end cards you should consider is the 7970 or GTX 670, the 680 is not worth the extra money over the 670 and is slower than a 7970. If your going for triple screens then yeah SLI 670's or XFire 7970's would be great but if your using one screen it's a complete waste, 1 of them would be perfect. Btw a 2560x1440 or 1600 screen for gaming is kinda pointless, you don't really see too much difference in games

As to your other questions:
1. The MSI Z77 G45, GD55 and GD65 are all amazing boards, the 55 and 65 especially are some of the best Z77 boards, OC3D recently did a review of the 65 and i guarantee it will convince you to buy the MSI board, it's such an amazing board.

2. The IB temp 'issue' isn't really an issue tbh, it's just when you push the volts a little too far and the temps increase quite a bit, but yeah you should be able to push it to 4.5GHz and get great temps with the D14.

3. 850W for SLI 670's is a tiny bit overkill but it's not ridiculous by any means, XFire 7970's on 850W is completely fine too. Just make sure you buy a quality unit and ideally a modular one too to make cable management so much easier. Corsair AX, Be Quiet P10, Silverstone Strider are all top units.

4. SLI 670's/XFire 7970's will max out near all games on triple screens, single 670/7970 will do the same on a single screen easily.

5. Nvidia wise the 3 best non-reference cards are Asus DCUii, KFA2/Galaxy EX and Gigabyte Windforce. Out of the three the only 4GB model is the KFA2/Galaxy EX, but if you just use one screen you won't need 4GB's. AMD wise Powercolor and Sapphire are my top picks

Well then. I have quite a few cases that seems good.
Cooler Master Storm Enforcer
Thermaltake Chaser MK-1
Cosmos II
Corsair White 600T
What do you guys think?

Sorry for late response. Well Fractal Arc Midi isn't my style.. I like the CM storm enforcer and stryker is ok too, cosmos looks beast too imo.

Cosmos is pointless unless you watercool it tbh. Buying a £280-£300ish case and putting an aircooled rig into it would be a huge waste on money.

Yeah haven't seen the price... I'm kind of liking the CM Storm Enforcer, should my rig fit in there? If you know better looking cases go ahead tell me.
