First time build/ryzen/overclock

Just thought I would share my adventures with my first time PC build, which is still a working progress...
Spec
Case: - Jonsbo UMX4
PSU: - EVGA 650w G2
CPU: - Ryzen 7 1700
Cooler: - Stock Wraith Spire
MB: - Asus x370 Crosshair 6
Ram: - 16Gb Corsair Vengence LPX 3000Mhz
Storage: - Crucial Mx300 750Gb SSD / 2 x Seagate 500 Gb (ripped from 2 x Sky HD box)

GPU: - 1080Ti:) I wish..... borrowed this 620 until I decide
Monitor / mouse / keyboard all borrowed from work!

So after sitting on the Case, PSU, SSD since October last year waiting for CES, then Kaby Lake then Ryzen etc.... I couldn't wait any longer and popped to Overclockers UK at the weekend and bought the 1700 for £300 CH6 £250 and the Ram for £130 and threw this little number together....

I have to say the whole experience of build was a roller-coaster of emotions.. from putting the components together with the precision of a brain surgeon, to the whole trepidation of pushing the on button for the first time....jesus that was nerve jangeling

I've also done a bit of tickling with the over clock and after several failed attempts I've currently got 3.6Ghz on all cores and the Ram running at 2666mhz
Temp are 32 idle and got to 52 during Cinebench
Cinebench - stock was 1100 / OC its now 1569

Next purchase's are GPU (vega?) Monitor Keyboard

Thanks for all the advice given over the last few months

Very nice. I have been enjoying my 1700 too.

Always great fun building a system I find. I just don't do it often enough, but don't have the need usually to do it too often.

Nice little OC there too. Difficult to see the volts you are using though on the OC.

I'm running a 3.75 GHz OC @ 1.272v on my Gigabyte B350 Gaming 3 with stock cooler. Also only running 2400 MHz RAM, with a Cinebench score of 1618.

Did you update the bios to the 1002 that was released today? Nice build, I hope you enjoy.

Cheers, Yes updated to 1002, which is probably why the memory oc worked.

I've got CPU at 1.199 and dram at 1.373, just added 4 x corsair ml 120 case fans for a nice bottom to top airflow.

I'd like to get 2933 on the ram and push a tiny bit more on the cpu.
