Hey everyone,

So i finished my first build finally, and flipped the power switch, hit the power button and everything seemed to power up just fine. Lights on MOBO and keyboard, fans, motherboard beep "1 long beep followed by 3 short", and i have my monitor connected with HDMI but the monitor says "no signal"... GREAT. So, i tried to plug the HDMI into the GPU, then the other GPU... NOTHING? Here is a list of what i have.... Can you guys help me out..lol.

Power Supply-Thermaltake Toughpower Grand 750w
CPU-Intel i5-3570K
Motherboard-Asus P8Z77-V PRO
Cooler-Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo
SSD-Corsair Force Series GT 480gb / 60gb OS
RAM-Corsair Dominator Platinum 8gb ( 2 x 4gb ) 1866mhz
Video Card-Asus GTX 660 Ti (x2)SLI
Sound Card-Asus ROG Xonar Phoebus
Blu Ray Drive-Sony Optiarc BD-5300S

A quick google for the manual of your mobo tells me 1 long followed by 3 short beeps is code for no VGA detected. Are your GPUs seated properly? Power cables plugged in properly? SLI bridge in place? It is goign to be something along those lines.

i have 2 6 pin connectors going into each one.. there is a green light by each plug on both gpu's... im pretty sure its seated.. for start up does it matter where i have th hdmi plugged in?

Ok try this. Take both gpus out and connect the HDMI to the mobo. If this works add one GPU and try connecting to that. If that works add the second GPU and the SLI bridge. The beep code says its a graphics card problem but its worth making sure your ram is pushed in properly and the clips are down as its easily left slightly out.

i have the SLI bridge on, its on the goldfingers closest to the outside of the gpu's. i am using the primary PCIe slot, and the next one over which leaves a gap between the two.

ok, ill try to check it.. ill jump back on here tmrw, and update..

so i removed both GPU's, started it up and the monitor came on and it had 1 long beep and 4 short... It says CPU fan error. but the fan is plugged in properly and working! i tried to reinstall each GPU one at a time into the primary slot, and the screen did not work..? and still had the same beeps.. maybe i miss counted last time..? now what?...lol.

ok, idk what the hell it was but both GPU's are in with the SLI bridge and the monitor is working...lol. but i am still getting 1 long and 4 short beeps, and it still says "CPU fan error" and the fan is running...?

nevermind i found a thread, its cause the fan is below 600rpm

When possible, try to use the 'edit' tool, dude. It makes threads a lot easier to read, and you'll never get accused of trying to boost your number of posts.

Still, it's good that you've found the answer to you problem.
