Hah awesome thread. Very nostalgic! My first was a 8088. I remember debugging my first program on it written in BASIC.
Here's my history of CPUs ^_^ (this was an excruciating exercise in memory recollection, but very fun):
8088 (IBM PC) ->
Z80 (C128) ->
80286 ->
68000 (Amiga 500) ->
80486 ->
Cyrix 133 (decided on Cyrix because of Intel math bug; I didn't notice any heat problems on mine) ->
Pentium 3 533 (remember the cartridge?) ->
AMD Athlon II X3 ->
4770k
