First build in 8 years and First time water cooling

I been using gaming laptops for awhile now but am growing tired of the noise of the fans and limited upgrading. So I decided to build another full size rig. This will be my first build in about 8 or 9 years and my first time water cooling.

My plans for it are to game with it and also do Solid Modeling and rendering while not having to hear to much fan noise.

I also want to get into overclocking but never done that before either so I will probably have a ton of questions (sorry in advance)

This is what I will be building.

NZXT SWITCH 810 BLACK Full Tower Chassis with USB 3.0"
Intel Core i7-3770K Quad-Core Processor 3.5 GHz 8 MB Cache LGA 1155
ASUS Maximus V FORMULA LGA 1155 Intel Z77 Extended ATX DDR3
16GB G.Skill DDR3 PC3-19200 2400MHz Trident X Series CL10 (10-12-
Corsair Professional Series 860 Watt Digital ATX/EPS Modular 80 PLUS
EVGA GeForce GTX 680 Hydro Copper+ 2GB 256-bit
samsung 256GB SSD
Vertex4 256GB SSD
Western Digital black 1TB
2x 27" LG monitors

Water Cooling will be.

Alphacool NexXxoS UT60 Full Copper 420mm
Alphacool NexXxoS UT60 Full Copper 240mm
XSPC Dual Reservoir
Alphacool VPP655 Variable Pump
XSPC Raystorm CPU/APU Copper Waterblock - Intel
Masterkleer Hose PVC ClearPackage
Mayhems Pastel Red Concentrate - 250ml
Mayhems Ultra Pure H2O - 1Ltr
Koolance Swiveling Angle Fitting
3 x Akasa APACHE S-Flow Fan Blade PWM 140mm Case Fan
2 x Akasa APACHE S-Flow Fan Blade PWM 120mm Case Fan
Monsoon Fittings

I know its a bit much but want to be able to expand without changing a lot of stuff to cool it. I just want to be able to add it in.

A very well thought out list, the only things i would change are the fans but thats not saying those fans are bad,i just have a different preference, and the fittings.
Those fittings have finish issues (thin coatings, easily scratched) and tubing fitting issues,i would avoid those for the moment.

Thanks for the input. What fans would your run? I have read a lot about different fans and you don't hear a lot about the good ones but hear a ton about the bad ones.

I was going to go with the Corsair SP fans but they don't make a 140.

Spectre Pros arent too bad, even for rads.

Didnt notive about finish-fails on the monsoon-fittings, mine look pretty nice :)

If you're going to upgrade to 2 x 1440p monitors, I'd suggest grabbing a 4GB card instead of 2

Edit; Nvm, missed the part where you said that you've bought it already. Good luck on the build :)

yes I will go to 1440's but I don't game on 2 monitors. I only use 2 monitor for my cad/cam software and design software.

Case showed up yesterday so I started to make some of the changes to it.

I am also going to try and put screen over the rest of the front so it will match the intake and exhaust area

are you saying a 4gb card to drive the 2 x 1440p monitors? if I went SLI I should be ok??? Planning on going SLI within a couple of months

Yeah, that's what I meant but if you don't game on both, I guess 2GB should be enough.
Remember that SLI doesn't double VRAM. If you SLI 2 x 2GB cards, you'll still have 2GB VRAM

ended up doing push/pull on both rads. Its a bit tight on the 420x60 but it can be done.

Changed from the xspc dual bay res to the aqualis because I didn't like the size of the res on the xspc unit.

waiting on some 90 degree fittings to show up and new tubing. ordered the wrong size the first time and got sent the wrong kind the second time. Also waiting on some braided sata cables and power cables so I can finish up the cabling but since I was waiting I figured I would throw on the stock cooler and get my stuff loaded up.

I can see this turning out to be a great looking build once you get the tubing done and fitted the waterblock on the CPU.

Looking forward to seeing the final result =)

finally done. Well kinda. I need to mess with the lighting and do a bit more clean up.

got the blue ray, 1tb WD Black , samsung 830 256 GB, and vertex 4 256GB stuffed in 3 bays so it kept the inside pretty clean.
