The rating on the PSU is only for its power efficiency

(what percent of power coming out of the wall is actually going through the computer)

It has nothing to do with the actual build quality.

OCZ PSUs do have a bit of a reputation around here for supplying dirty power and dying randomly

Some people have problems, some don't: its just the luck of the draw...

Same can be said for any PSU though. Ive had friends who have bought Corsair and Enermax PSU's and had them randomly die or fry their whole system. It's luck of the draw with any company.
