Hello OC3D !

As the title said , I need help on finding a keyboard that suits me..
The keyboard must have these features :
1.Mechanical Keyboard
2.Backlit
3.Media changer
4.Fashion/Design/Cool
5.Red/Blue switch
6.Hand Rest *Edit
*I play games but not hardcore gamer , i love typing :)

I've been waiting for K95 for quite long time already , until now still dun have any news so i decided to find another one..
There is one example , Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Stealth 2013.. But razer products are not recommended , they always have problems especially mices :\

Scan say k95 should be coming in today, and Overclockers say ETA: 31/05/13, so it should be long now. But since you love typing I would recommend blue switches, they just feel better for typing and are not bad for gaming.

Thanks for the suggestion..
I live in Malaysia.. I dun think it's so fast to reach here.. /.\

I like CM Storm Quickfire TK but that keyboard combines the command cluster with the numerical keypad.. I dun think i can get used to it.. Could you find me a similar one again? :D Thank you..

I recently changed my keyboard as well since the old one was from 2003 lol.
I ended up with pretty much the same demands as you do for the new one and the Thermatake Challenger ultimate came out as the winner for me.

I can cycle trough 5 key colors linked to game profiles with one button.
You can also just not do the profiles and use that button to switch colors only if you like.
On top of that, the "Tt" logo can be switched off because its to bright to me, and lighting of the keys has 4 levels: "off", "brightness1", "brightness2", "brightness3"

Read about it here: http://www.hitechlegion.com/reviews...d-by-thermaltake-review?showall=1&limitstart=

Also some pics i made:

Don't know when they are going to release it though.

This one not bad , but i wish to get my new keyboard ASAP.. I dun think I'm able to afford this keyboard..

by the looks of it i'm pretty sure it's not

From a review:

"Unlike Thermaltake's MEKA series of keyboards, the Challenger series, including the “Ultimate”, uses membrane keys, which has a less pronounced profile as well as a softer sound and feel as you press on them. Although I personally don't like the feel of membrane keys versus mechanical keys, the keys on the Challenger Ultimate were pretty sensitive and the way the keys are spaced apart makes typing a rather pleasant experience."

So on the mechanical part its a no.
But as a person who HAD a mechanical keyboard since windows 95, i never want to go back to that now i got this keyboard.
What i really lile about it is the buttons are low profile and feels in between a mechanical keyboard and a laptop keyboard and it allows me to type alot faster with alot more ease than the old mechanical keyboard i had.

If you got a decent pc shop nearby you should try it out and see foor yourself i'd day :)

May I recommend the Gigabyte Aivia Osmium

1.Mechanical Keyboard - Check, MX Reds.
2.Backlit - Check, Individual Blue LEDS under each key.
3.Media changer - Check, Supplied as function F-keys, also comes with volume scroll wheel.
4.Fashion/Design/Cool - I'll let you decide.
5.Red/Blue switch - Check, Red.
6.Hand Rest *Edit - Check, a generous sized hand rest.

Extra features:
5 Macro Keys.
USB 2.0 and 3.0 built in to the keyboard.
Microphone and headphone jack pass through also built into the keyboard.

Thanks for your suggestion.. I wonder if this keyboard compare with CM Storm Quickfire TK.. Gigabyte Aivia Osmium 's blacklit doesn't look that nice compare to Quickfire TK.. Please correct me if i judged wrong by just looking at pictures.. @@

Hmm I'm not sure, my bro has the Osmium and the backlighting is nice, but I can't compare it to the quickfire because I haven't seen it in person.

Sorry to jump on this thread, but several people have mentioned the Quickfire TK....
Does anyone know where I can buy one? I have been searching in vain to find to find a blue one with Cherry MX Blue, they seem to be out of stock everywhere with no new stock expected, despite only having been on the market for a few months?

I see , I think i won't take quickfire tk because the arrow keys combined with the num pad which is not easy to get used to.. :\ Finding cheapest price in my area now.. Thanks ya.. :)

you know you only have to press numlock to use the arrow keys right, it took me all of a day to get used to it

Thats another reason why i ended up with the Thermatake challenger ultimate, i wanted the classic layout with arrows and a full numpad.
I use the arrows for gaming instead of WASD see ^_^
