It really depends on what CPU cooler you want to use. The RAM I'm using is the corsair vengeance, which have very tall heat spreaders, which limits the range of CPU coolers I can use. I had to go with the CM Hyper 212+ because of the size.
The corsair vengeance low profile ram is a good choice and should allow you to overclock them pretty high, considering that they are rated at 1600Mhz @ 1.35V. They are going for £60 for two 4GB sticks on overclockers if that is in your budget. Kingston HyperX ram and Mushkin ram are both highly rated, so you couldn't go wrong with any of them really.
