Finally a new PC.

It really depends on what CPU cooler you want to use. The RAM I'm using is the corsair vengeance, which have very tall heat spreaders, which limits the range of CPU coolers I can use. I had to go with the CM Hyper 212+ because of the size.

The corsair vengeance low profile ram is a good choice and should allow you to overclock them pretty high, considering that they are rated at 1600Mhz @ 1.35V. They are going for £60 for two 4GB sticks on overclockers if that is in your budget. Kingston HyperX ram and Mushkin ram are both highly rated, so you couldn't go wrong with any of them really.

I will be using the D14, so got to be careful of the size. The HyperX comes in different heat spreads, I was hoping to find one that was pretty much flush with the actual sticks. I found these:

Thank you for the replies so far.

Those sticks look fine. The heat spreaders are very short so they should be good to go. Have you overclocked before. My current build is my first build and I used a very good guide to overclock my CPU.

Here is the link to the guide I used if you need one: Beginners Overclocking Guide

I am not a pro, but with the help of Bungral, I got my Q6600 @ 3.4-3.6GHz stable. Please explain to me what the timings actually mean, I have a rough idea, but I need to be 100% certain. Which one would be best (with HyperX), also do I need to buy 2133MHz, and how much RAM should I get with my 2500k using P67 Sabertooth. Have 700w Coolermaster PSU.

Thank you mate.

Just realised that the CPU I ordered isn't even a 2500K, it's 2500, and as I understand it has a locked OC capabilities? Should I send back and pay the extra £10 for the K version? What speed am I looking at with the 2500? Wanting around 4GHz?

No idea why it only says 2500, it said 2500k in basket.

Thank you.
