FINALLY A GOOD JOB!!

So a few days ago I was sent home for poor performance at RadioShack, I was feeling a little down so I decided to check up on a place which I submitted a resume and application to a few days prior to being sent home. It was at Staples as a computer tech. I walked into Staples asked to speak with the boss said I am checking up on the progress of my application and 5 minutes later I was hired. Remember this was the same day I was sent home for poor performance at RadioShack, WHAT LUCK!! So today I put in my 2 weeks notice and my boss just said "I can get you out now if you'd like" him not knowing I got another job. So I took that opportunity drove back to Staples and said I was ready to work whenever, and now I start on Sunday.

When I start working I will have to take a few computer tests to test my knowledge which I am not to worried about and they are also looking for a tech expert, which I can also get if I qualify for the position which is just another test. The tech expert would be the guy managing the tech department, so I would have right now 3 guys under me. I hope I get that job!! It would be $11 hour PLUS commission PLUS a pot of money only the tech guys get were once over $1050 is split 10% between the tech guys. And from what the manager said the tech expert makes a good $20 to $25 hourly. WOOHOO!!!

I could be looking at close $3000 a month!

Sweet. Now don't put any "poor performances" in at this job

Seriously tho, nice one - and a great start to the year

It was poor performance in JUST selling cell phones, I can sell laptops, service plans, and tablets but not very good with the cell phones. But I am not going to be a sales man so it does not need to come up.

grats bro always good to have a backup when things go south loland I know what ya mean lol however ur job is sales mines is service (I'm a service tech for Time Warner Cable) (I fix problems) anywho they harp on us all the time about sales.

Good luck with your new job hope things go well for you.

Service plans (runs away and screams) biggest rip off ever created in the computer industry / mobile phone industry ever.

Congrats and good luck! I worked at a Staples for about 6 months...those tests are a breeze. Hopefully the tech department at your store is a little better. The tech department at my store didn't even have an Internet connection. I had to turn customers away all the time. Staples PC service is expensive and very lackluster. If the customer doesn't supply drivers, we weren't supposed to load them. Couldn't anyway as the lack of Internet service really kills what a tech can do.

Did you take the opportunity to tell your old boss what you thought of him? I missed a few chances like that, as I was always told not to burn your bridges - but these days if it ever happens again boy would I let rip.
