Greetings. The NBN is currently being installed in my area and I cant wait until it's done so I can sign up.
Being in Australia and having done the research into providers, I've decided iinet will be the way to go. They want to (lol) RENT us a Bob2 modem for an extra $25 per month, which is not going to happen. I will purchase a modem/router for less than what their rental would be worth on a yearly basis.
I found out that the Bob2 modem has a physical limitation of 85Mbps, so that just wont do on the 100/40 plan I plan to get.
I ask you gentleman, especially those on 100+Mb plans, to give me some input as to what make/model modems you use and what kinid of speeds you get.
I've looked at some modem/routers by Netgear and Asus and I'm having a heck of a time deciding which would be the best bang for the buck.
Your recommendations/observations will be greatly appreciated.
