[note to Ed. must correct that Friction spelling mistake]

Yep, those at TheInquirer (sourced from SemiInaccurate), would have us believe, that yet again, some mysterious person @ nVidia has belched that the card releases are delayed ! (even tho the only official word has ever been "it'll be ready Q1'10 - EVER).

Source: WeMakeItUpAsWeGoAlong.com

.. of which the quote an allegiance to the rumors/gossip in DigiTimes, who unknown to TheInquirer have updated their article to include:

According to market rumors, Nvidia had originally scheduled the launch of Fermi for November 2009 but then delayed the planned launch until CES in January 2010 due to defects. However, the sources stated that Nvidia recently notified graphics card makers that the official launch will be in March 2010, which is consistent with previous Nvidia comments that the product will begin shipping in the first quarter of 2010.

Another quote found on a fairly respectable site also:

Commenting on the news, Nvidia stated that its planned schedule of product shipping in the first quarter 2010 remains unchanged and any rumors of defects are completely false.

(eww weird speech bubbles >.< )

Rumors and 'word on the street' are a fantastic source for news. Infact, the market rumors inflated the share price.

The glorious fantastic 3-6month reign of terrificness AMD now have.... (sorry, was reading TheInquirer a few moments ago) despite little stock and hiked prices.

.. let's get back to sensibility ..

AMD are rumored to be launching both Radeon HD 5670/5570 (Redwood) and HD 5450 (Cedar) GPUs at the end of January or in February 2010 (c&p is awesome ofc) .... erm on 40nm .... which leads us nicely to:

Another news rumor is that TSMC's yields are dramatically improving, as if by magic ! (although we haven't heard from any real news source that there was ever a problem)

If u r a green fan, u can ofc snub ur nose @ all this red-dx11-goodness, and buy a ... GT220/240/250 ... erm. Or or u can buy a prebuilt GT210 !

Hmm don't think they'll be happy with that. Perhaps they should stick with what they got being as their aint much dx11 to wave a stick @ until feb/march... spookily when their camp leaders are proposing shipping. (possibly in conjunction with the game devs they're working with - who knows)

Anywho, nice bit of fun, and a chance to laugh at TI & SI whilst testing some of the weird looking buttons for thread editing. Nothing bad to report, just some weird looks and positioning that I don't think I'd have if I used IE.

Then theres the price ofc:eek:

OC3D doing a CES write up thing this year ?

Got a funny feeling the usual nda breechers will be spilling the real beans around mid february, that is if they're still on the favor list. Some people just can't keep their butts closed.

Wouldn't take too much notice of quoted % comparative gains being banded about. There's much to be said about in-house benching and special drivers.

I *think* one of the 3 titles named are part of the shortlist for packaging with nVidia cards this time around.
