Ive got an i5 3570k at 4.4 and the temps are quite high under full load for about 4 hours the temp peaked at about 83 ive got a generic £25 cooler on at the moment cant remember the name of it and its doing a grand job.

But i just don't like the temps its not that noisy but would want to go to much higher on that department

i am not sure what to get stuck between a couple of options

1. is the be quiet! Dark Rock Pro2

2. ThermalTake Frio Extreme

3. and i know its not air cooled but was maybe thinking about the ThermalTake water 2.0 performer

What do you guys think?

Well 2 of the 3 options are thermaltake...

...so that leaves us with 1 option.

Get the BeQuiet out of that list. Or look at a Noctua NH-D14.

Definitely go with the Be Quiet! Dark Rock. I've seen Tom's review on it and it did pretty dang well for how silent it is. PC enthusiast golden rule #1: Never buy anything from ThermalTACKY.

voltage is quite high at 1.285 i thought it was thermal paste but changed it and still not much difference. I will look into the NH-D14 and the h100i cheers :)

EDIT;
The more i look at the H100i the more i want to get it cheers SeekaX

The Frio extreme is very noisy by all accounts and wasn't much better than the Frio.

The H100i will kick its ass any way.

I've got a 270 exhaust fan on the roof would put it there I am sure it would fit would look into it first tho.

What case do you have?
It has to have dual 120mm fan mounts right beside each other with the right spacing, or it won't fit (without a little Dremel persuasion ;)).

I have the AeroCool Xpredator black edition its a large case will have a look at the fixings tomorrow cheers for the heads up
