Far Cry 4 Does Not Support Dual-Core Processors

Well, i managed to get the game finally working, testing out my dual Gtx980's, christ, that stutter is bad,.& so is the ghosting too.....

Lol since the last patch and driver update as soon as i go into the game after the menus the screen is so dark its unreal. Its like the only things that is rendering is the shadows. Everything else is black. Lol

Yet they continue to sell it and a few other games as finished with game breaking bugs like these?

I feel bad for everyone who is either being forced to upgrade to play one f*cking game or lose out on their £60 that the payed for a fully working FINISHED game... Seems Ubisoft have taken EA's spot at the top of the most hated gaming company, for the time being at least.

Glad I have waited on buying this. I really want it, but with how most games that are released these days being in an awful state on release, I have started to not pic games up until a month or two later at a heavily discounted price. At least if it's garbage you haven't lost out massively

It ran perfect initially but i did the driver update then the game uodated and broke it. Ao i dont know which of the two is at faulti wonder if i disable sli if ill be able to play it

Me too man. Threads like this make me want to wait 6 months until they *hopefully* fix all the bugs, and then pirate the damn game just to spit in Ubisofts face, and I haven't pirated a game in DECADES! But I will with this one just to give that crap company the middle finger.

You shouldnt turn to piracy just because of one game and ubi wont give a damn you giving them the finger.

I don't care if THEY care or not. Ubisoft continues to be the worst game publisher in this universe, and I'm DONE supporting them until they smarten the fuck up. Until then, I will happily steal any of their games I'm interested in. Fuck them.

You know you've fucked up when you turn real customers who wanted to buy your games previously, into people who want to boycott you and pirate your games...

I don't want your games, they are the worst games in the world, but I am going to steal them anyway

I don't know about you, but when I avoid a company, I at least have some integrity.

The ONLY reason I would pirate their games is because I am a fan of the Far Cry franchise. I've bought them all so far, but I DESPISE the direction they're taking. The obvious bug riddled code that should never have been released, Uplay (ugh), their DRM, etc. The only way to send them a message is to not buy their games.

As for integrity, pfft, please kid. Like you're so high and mighty. I've been buying games for 30+ years, and I have officially HAD ENOUGH of companies who behave like this. The ONLY reason I would pirate FC4 is because a) I like the franchise, and b) there aren't a lot of good open world games like this, and c) it screws Ubisoft over.

It takes respect to earn respect, and this idiotic company has consistently DISRESPECTED their paying customers. If you want to look down on me for fighting that, fine. We can agree to disagree.

I don't look down on you for avoiding a company that has done you wrong, both personally and your community. Refusing to spend your money with them and actively expressing your decision to do so seems like a personally rational and sensible course of action.

Stealing and playing the games anyway seems to me like admitting you did actually like it. Well even if you get a kick out of stealing it and doing wrong by said company going so far as to say you 'DESPISE' what they are doing afterwards doesn't add up to me. I'm happy to disagree with you on this one.

I despise the actions of the company, but the FC franchise (so far) have been really enjoyable games for me. It's not the games I despise, but the company's attitude toward the obvious bugs in FC4, the DRM, Uplay, etc. It's a REAL shame that the guys developing the games are being apparently managed by complete idiots. Liking the FC franchise isn't the issue (except for 2, which sucked, but I bought it before I knew that). :)

I WANT to support the games I like, I really do. I've been buying games for years for that very reason, even though I could easily pirate all of them. Ubisoft's behavior recently has made the decision to support them impossible. I really hope the entire company TANKS and DIES, and that the talented developers that work for them end up at a better company. It really is a shame.

P.S. this is a sore spot for me, and I'm drunk, so take what I say with a grain of salt. I'm feeling very "fight the power" this evening. :)

Just so everyone knows that while you blame Ubisoft for everything its not the studios fault.. the actual developers. Sure they might have screwed some little thing but most of the time the publisher(Ubisoft) is the one responsible for everything.. its like EA and BF3/4. Dice is a good studio but EA screwed it all up because of $. Its the same with Ubisoft.

Though EA is getting better(new CEO) Ubisoft continually screws up the PC side of things. because they are so big and own a lot of AAA studios, all the games being produced come out in quick succession that each fail just piles up and up. I feel bad for the studios tbh. Now i don't work for the studios so it possibly could be all there fault but based off Ubisoft as a publisher and the games they are releasing, i'm more inclined to say its their fault.. and if it is the studios fault then its even more of Ubisofts for hiring the monkeys in the first place.

I kinda have to agree with some of what you said, the studios are under constant pressure to get the games released, but ubisoft are ultimately responsible for releasing the game before the studio feels the game is 100% ready and bug free, the best they can do is correct the major bugs, and then the first adopters of the game are now the beta testers to find any other issues which will then get patched sooner or later, and this has become the norm these days for nearly all games and software under major publishers that has been released lately .

ya in that case its the publishers -Ubisofts- fault.

And this is what is wrong with a minority of PC gamers. Attitudes like this will reinforce publisher's opinion that pc gamers are a bunch of thieving twats. They will just direct their focus on consoles, which are much simpler to code for with less risk of piracy.

Yes it's damn annoying when a game isn't 100%, polished or SLI compatible upon release (I was pissed at Watch_Dogs and still am!) but should I pirate everything from them? No, I'm just more wary of material from them and I wait. If it's still broken a month or so on, I won't buy it. It's not as if my life depends on playing it.

If you like a game then buy it, it encourages publishers to financially back more games like it. If it's bugged then don't buy it and wait, voice your opinion and vote with your wallet. Pirating is not the answer, but hopefully you knew that already and are just blowing gas.
