fan controller worth it?

This is not entirely accurate. While alot of manufacturers tend to take the cheaper way out and not use rheostats. If you buy a controller that does you will get 100% controll of the fan speed from 0v - full 12v. I have tested this and i get the same 12.4v from my fan controller that i do from a molex. I even use 1 channel to controll/dimm the LED light strips in my case and it works perfectly. I have tried this with other non rheostat fan controllers and all the leds do is blink when you try to adjust the the controller.
