I purchased some RAM from Ebay, probably my first mistake.
Anyway, I have found that one of the sticks is a dud, and gets every error possible on memtest.
I'm trying to get my money back, but to do this I need to:
"Obtain a document (such as an estimate or invoice) from an unbiased third-party, such as a dealer; repair shop, appraiser, or another individual or organisation that is qualified in the area of the item in question (other than yourself), which details the extent of the damage or clearly explains how the item received significantly differs from the item advertised".
This is from Paypal as this is who I used. The guy wont just give me my money back.
Any ideas where I can get this done????
Oh, and I need to fax them within 10 days, so sending to the manufacturer isn't an option.
The ram is DDR2 533 and made by Crucial.
Thanks
