Why two folding names? You can have any number of machines folding under the same name and team #....

thanks guys ,hope to add some numbers and cranking up scores.unfortunately i only fold with smp,those 5870 and 5970 stops cpu from folding and i get better scores smp folding.

How many Points Per Day does that 5970 get ?

i know its wayyyyyy to poor for a Ati card still think its BS that these cards get way much less PPD

ati cards are a total waste of electricity to fold on unfortunately

ati's current top card prob gets pumped by a now ancient 8800gt

yes,got the fastest card(sapphire 5970 4gb),and it only get around 4000 ppd x2.

yeah mate get on the green team for folding ati are utterly useless

but a gts450 folds really great and then there's the king of folding atm the gtx460

ill have a look what i can afford now,but it might be a cheap 460gtx 768mb,here in denmark 8800 and 9800gt`s and 450gt is the same pricerange as some cheaper 460gtx

yeah mate the 460 is the best card to get atm will utterly spank your 5870 and 5970 at the same time by a massive margin

I seriously don't understand why Stanford isn't making a proper GPU client for the Ati cards , shader units enough

could be fine if st.u. made some proper ati-clients,last year it was ati 5xxx year,until 460 came along,and ati is to dominate next year with 6800 and 6900 i think.

i dunno about the 6800's mate, as nvidias still got the bring out there 560, 570 and 595 if the latter ever happens

and it will be close with the 6970 and the 580 but considering nvidias still using fermi and its took ati a whole new architecture to compete and this time there late to the game

and the 560 i think will prob be based on the gf104 as its not at its peak its only got 336 cuda but the gf104 can go 384 so an extra 48 should provide quite a boost plus i thnk they will make 1gb and 1280mb cards with 256bit memory, the 570 will prob lack about 40 cuda cores compared to the 580 and maybe run with 1280mb ram with higher end ones being 1.5gb, all in reference flavours obviously
