Does anyone else do this sort of thing?

ahhh thas mint, i used to help out coaching under 8`s for my work exp, and that was reali good, best of luck mate:)

never really bothered with coaching, although had a few friends who did. I was more into the refereeing, and im fully qualified in that

woah! gl with that, hope to see you coaching arsenal soon (not chelsea scum please!)

haha, very doubtful. It's just changed to under 10's which means it's only a 7 a side and a smaller pitch. I wanted to do this first off. Woot.

Had to do my first aid last night, the thought of giving mouth to mouth to a dummy thats been around loads of peoples mouths. ew!

We did that in my old school, we used these alcohol wipes that tasted horrible. Be careful giving mouth-to-mouth to a kid, you know what people are like with suing others these days lol

Been a level 1 rugby coach for 3 year now, kids a re great for that sense of achievement but you also get a lot back if you can coach adults nad teach them something new. :D Good luck mate either way.

I've just started "helping out" our local U10s side. The present coach is going to be leaving soon and they need a replacement, i wouldn't mind giving it a go.

How long is the Level 1 course Nathan? A couple of weekends so i've heard?

I think the hardest part is controling the kids, making them busy so they don't get distracted.

I'm now offically an FA level 1 coach, yah!

The course was 3 weeknights (this was introduction, first aid and child protection), 2 sats and 1 sun. The course is done by 1st4sports and sponsered by mcdonalds. You'll be fine controlling the kids if you make it fun. Also a bit of help from a parent always goes a long way. I will start coaching the under 11's next season. This is final now.

Did you have a CRB check Nathan?

ofcouse! also a child protection course. both paid for by mcdonalds. I also get a bag of goodies. including footballs, pump, kit for me.

Nice!

It's something that i deffo want to do. Tis good fun, but pretty annoying sometimes watching them on a Sunday morning not doing anything that you've tought them! lol
