F@H won't download -bigadv WU's?

I have deleted everything and tried setting everything back up but for the life of me it keeps downloading advmethod wu's? Is that right, or should the WU numbers not be advmethod wu numbers? Im confustricated, lol.

Do you have -advmethods in you start line or did you set in the config? If so remove it. Also be sure packet size is set to big.

You also must be running a computer that has 8 or more cores available or the assignment server will ignore the -bigadv

-BigADV will download some of the big WU's , 6701 (not worth it tho)...

even if you only have 4cores...

Actually, all my SMP are crunching 6701's right now. All are set with -advmethods too....

I you like a steady diet of 2701's leave it as is, if you would prefer to see more of the normal A3 WU's remove -advmethods.

The way things currently working with SMP2 the use of -advmethods just about guarntees 6701's. None of my SMP2 machines have that flag.

My i7's run 16-19K PPD on regular A3's and about 12K on 6701's, 670x WU's are generally a 30% points hit. When they first came out alot of people couldn't complete them on time which is possibly why they are -advmethods now. iirc PG extended the deadline on them 1 day.

That is correct!!

Just stop the client now remove the -advmethods and re-start, then you won't have to intervene when unit ends......

Wow, on my one machine I went from 12k ppd to 22.5k after the WU change. Quite a difference indeed. My other machines are still working on their current WU.
