EVGA GTX 780 Classified SLI

Hi all,

I am considering getting an additional EVGA GTX 780 Classified so I can SLI it with my current one. However I am wondering about the PSU's capability to power two EVGA GTX 780 Classified's and my 4930K? You can see the supply in my sig, does anyone think I will need to step up to the AX1200i?

Thanks,

I have a very similar setup, two classys, an X79 board and an AX860 and the absolute most I can pull from the wall is 600watts so you should have more than enough headroom for anything you want to do.

OK cool, thanks for your answers guys.

TheOuterOne: Once I have the second card and third SSD (480GB this time) I will indeed be posting pic's of the setup.

JR23: Sweet rig, exactly what I am going for aesthetically. What made you go with the 4820K if you don't mind me asking? I took me awhile to decided on the Hexa over the Quad to be fair.

Thanks,

Well I had a MVF and a 2600k and was pretty set on getting a MVIF and a 4770k but it wouldn't fit in my case so after much thought and deciding that I really preferred the aesthetic and the idea of X79 anyway I went with a RIVF and a 4820k and it was actually cheaper at the time. I never exactly thought my old quad was short on power so didn't really think about stepping up to the hex but still valued having the option in the future.
