Hey guys and girls just a question really i recently purchased the EVGA GeForce GTX 670 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card and was wondering if anyone could clear something up for me anyway here is my question:

I Have the cards fan set to auto now the other day the card hit 40 degrees i was only watching a youtube video about an hour after i booted up Far Cry 3 and it straight away hit like 70 degrees just on the main menu and there was no sign of the fan kicking up to keep it cool i use msi afterburner to set the fan also it is not overclocked is this heat normal?

Thanks in advance for everyones replies :)

I am not sure but going off what my 680 does in games it seems normal enough. To give you an idea my 680 gets between 60-65 with the fan between 50-70%.

I am not sure about afterburner but if you use the evga equivalent "precision X" you can set the fan curve for the auto setting. I like to keep my stuff as cool as I can so I have mine ramp up the fan speed once it gets near 60C.

I wouldn't worry too much until it starts getting near 80C when gaming. The card should be fine at that temp but I would change the curve so it starts to cool it a bit sooner and with a bit more air at that speed.

Thanks B3rni3 top guy i will do that put my mind at ease as i thought there might have been a problem with the card i will get cracking doing what youve said thanks again :)
