Hello people.

I'm just looking to find the best RAM I can for this motherboard. I'm planning to stick in a Q9650 processor as I don't plan on overclocking. Any help appreciated.

Oh, also I'd prefer OCZ memory as I want to stick in an OCZ XTC Ram cooler. Just don't have a clue which memory is best for this configuration.

Cheers, Chris.

if i'm honest I tried a few OCZ Memory modules in my system and found CORSAIR to be the most stable best bet in my old 780i and my current 790i!!!

me personaly I don't reccommend OCZ For Nvidia Boards unless it is specificaly endorsed by Nvidia themeselves!!!

Ah ok, cheers for the info mate. I was looking at the Ballistix Tracer modules but I don't know whether that would be opting out of speed for something that flashes pretty colours.

Im using ocz reaper 8500 2x2gb sticks and all is fine, also used ocz flex 9200 2x1gb and corsair dominator 8500 2x1gb with no problems.

Never found OCZ to play nice always was a pain in the a$$ for me, while all the corsair sticks were no trouble and performed flawlessley. in my case at least.

the pc2-8500 sli edition by ocz works great for me though im running a 680i but i cant imagine that a newer board would handle the same memory differently

Ive always used ocz crucial and gskill.

Id reccomend ocz for performance, gskill for price an crucial for looks.

:D

i know wat ya mean, although all ddr2 (that i've seen anyway) has fallen in price since ddr3 came out. cosair is kinda pretty to look at too not sure how it performs though lol

Yeah the Ballistix Tracers are very pretty to look at, but at the end of the day that's not the point of building a computer is it?

So yeah, screw looks, I'll go for performance. It seems Corsair is the best path for me to follow at present.

Thanks for all your replies. :)

why oc ran thats clocked at 1066 stock? anyway the corsiar ran is pretty is u like that military/indutrial look (at least i think thats how u would classify it lol)

If I'm honest, I haven't got a clue about OC'ing so I will leave it at that for now as it's guaranteed to end up costing me twice as much as I would deffinitely end up melting my computer.
