Enough Radiator?

Guys,

Just want to run this by others to make sure I'm not missing something. I currently have a 480mm 60mm thick rad (HWLabs BlackIce SR-1) and I'm upgrading my graphics to SLI 970s. My CPU is a 3930k running at stock clocks and voltage set to 1.015 (I think). I think I'm fine on my radiator but want to make sure.

Do you guys think that the 480 is enough?

NEVER enough radiators.... if you have the space and $$ then fill it up with more radiators. There is no such thing as radiator overkill! :)

You need to ask yourself if it is really needed to watercool the 970s as you could spend the money on something else.

Even with such low TDP GPU's it's on the edge of not being enough.

To extend Kaapstad's point it seems odd to add watercooling if you don't plan on seriously overclocking, especially for 970's. They are definitely one of the most, probably the most powerful card while being so unbelievably quiet, most of the time passive. So for performance or acoustics i'm not sure it warrants the expenditure on two extra blocks and fittings etc.

If it's exclusively for aesthetics, you rarely ever push overclocks hard and you don't expect the fans to run super slow then i'm sure it will work ok. Personally I would only watercool 970's for that reason and then I would want a 480 + 240/360 just so I could run 600RPM fans or something bonkers and make it even quieter under full load. My friends 970 MSI rig is undoubtedly quieter than my custom loop, sad but true.

Youll be fine but your CPU Vcore seems low considering youre on water - get it overclocked you great big feline

Watercooling because already doing it...just upgrading graphics card.

Thanks Cru and TTL. Wish there was a way to +1 you guys.

BTW, my Vcore is actually 1.165. I looked tonight and found my memory was way off.
