So after replacing my broken gpu block, I picked up this EK 580 waterblock
For my evga 3gb ref card.
Everything seemed to install fine, but when I gave it a last inspection I noticed that the block only made contact with the gpu. This is the first time I have used EK for the GPU, but I remember that my other block made contact with them. The only thing that came with block was the screws, standoffs gpu reinforcer and 2 square thermal pads that need to be cut to size. At first I used 1 pad, and after noticed the non-contact I used the second pad but there was not enough to make the row closest to the Barbs touch.
so...anyone know what I should do? Or if it's not that big of a deal if they dont touch?
