EK block and corrosion?

I recently bought used parts(not recieved yet).

What makes me worried is I recently found out that EK had a smaller fiasco during 2011 juny with CPU blocks using nickel?

The CPU block I'm soon getting is named EK Water Blocks EK-Supreme HF - EN (Nickel).

So now I'm worried the nickel/copper will corrode/fall off

Maybe adding anti corrosive every 6 months avoids this problem?

As I understand the quality of the EK might be not perfect.

The EN models are the ones that are supposed to have been fixed but there have been reports of it happening on the EN parts as well. Copper is the way to go, you don't have to worry about it flacking and it's a much better conductor than nickel anyway.

the EN denotes the newer plating process for their blocks you should be fine

Thanks for replies

So if I'm understanding correct you guys I have the EN model which is adressing the issue with corrosion?

There has been some reports with EN aswell but mostlikely I don't need worry about corrosion busting my CPU, GPU and PSU?

There is nothing wrong with EK EN Nickel Blocks, the bad batch issue from last summer was dealt with and already long forgotten! EK Blocks are good quality and a great choice for any watercooling system.
