hey everyone

just on what drill I have to use to drill through my case, im pretty sure the case aluminum and steel also do I have to take out my motherboard? I dont see why I have to, correct me if Im wrong there. I want to drill some holes because cable management in the raven is crap.

Use a metal drill bit.

And for gods sake remove everything.

Swarf can get everywhere. Hoover up after yourself as well. Never cut / drill with components installed dude!!!

What he said ^^^

As you are drilling you will have metal shavings everywhere. Be sure to get all of the bits out before you put your machine back together.

As mentioned before remove EVERYTHING the last thing you want to do is lose control and drilling a hole through your CPU or graphics card, no matter how good the warranty is I doubt they'll let you RMA if it has a drill bit stuck in it.

Also as everyone else has said metal shavings = bad, can even cause shorts.

EDIT: I would also apply tape over the and around the area I'm about to drill, I find it that tends to make the holes neater and prevents flaking to a certain degree. Both sides of the area btw. Masking tape btw anything like duct tape might end up riping off more of the finish. And that's my 2 cents on drilling stuff.

i seen ur posts b4 that u paid someone to build ur rig after you couldnt get it working, u gonna be able to put it back together ok?

I'll be fine stepster

I finished drilling and I've managed to to Put the cables that I needed through although there are some marks which I'll just touch up with some paint

You may also want to put some edging around the new hole. It depends what you used to cut it, but a sharp edge can easily cut one of those cables (or your fingers) in two.

You can either use THIS stuff, or take a file to it. If it's not very sharp using paint might work for a while, but dulling the edge would be better.
