WTF!

I can not believe Corsair only provides a clear and a blue lens. So dissapointed.
Anyone with an idea of why they have opted to not provide a red...and maybe even a green lens in this kit?

Considering we have the two big red and green GPU-camps and the fact that Corsair fans comes with red/white/blue rings and their custom braided sleeve-sets comes in red/white/blue i really find it more than strange that there atleast isnt a red lens in this kit....

What do you think?

Chill more colours will come soon, they are just doing the ones that MORE people want first...... Remember its a thing called business :)

They look a bit expensive for what you're getting?

I suppose anyone willing to spend that much on RAM probably has that kind of money to throw at changing its colour slightly

How visible are the lights anyway? They don't look very bright, unless there's no other light in the case from what I've seen.

OK TTL - looking forward for the red one to appear. Just found it odd that a red one wasnt in from the get-go.

As for cost mr riley - how cheap could it get really? Rememeber this most likely will be a very small volume item where production cost could even exceed the net income. U also have a good point on typical customer for this.

Extra metal bit that's already under construction from making the RAM, and little bits of plastic which aren't exactly costly at all to manufacture.

It will be a small volume item yes...but also production will be very small volume too...
I highly doubt production costs would exceed total income...
Very little R&D will have gone into this.

Look cool, I'm not fan on full case of LED Fans.
But I love white LED. Example Dominator Platinum Lightbar Kit or only LED from Dominator Platinum and LED from CORSAIR H100/H100i + one 200mm white LED on front and rig can look excellent.
That is enough only to see what hardware is inside.
I would install and one little 6-8" white LED cathode, one in front of PSU to show model and one behind H100 on top panel. That maybe on some switch.
And that is enough for all case. Best fans are without LED usually and than short cold cathode is perfect choice.
I would like to make and different color because other people but I'm for white Lightbar.

white leds still look way sleeker with red mobos imo, it stands out in a classy and sleek way rather than blending in. i would go for the white ones if they werent so expensive (sticks itself:/)

Not sure if red or green will go with the silver and black???
Might make the ram look cheap. (my opionion)

Hear what ya all are saying. I just think Corsair should honour people who spend this kind of money on their flagship ram the individual choice of colour.

I intend to pick up a red kit if they ever release one. The stock white just doesn't do it for me so upgrading to a different white doesn't make sense.

Personally, I would like to see them make some more exotic colors like Orange, for some strange reason I like Orange LEDs. Its probably due to the fact that its just a little different from your White, Blue, and Reds. I do have Orange fans in my computer case. I also think Corsair makes some amazing products and I will gladly buy this RAM in white. ;)

i just want the blue light bar but i wont change the bars ill keep the solid look, do you think corsair will sell the blank silver plates. i want to mill out just the corsair logo and have blue shinning through that.

ill have mine tuesday. i think i might have an answer for your "different" color peeps.
just gotta look at the ingredients, first.

awesome i know thie might sound odd but when fitting the light bar could you see how it looks with the new head and the old one? with the longer light bar? and maybe post up some pics of both
ta

My first thought was will the clear ones be porous enough to take in some dye? Failing that, a thin strip of lighting gel might do the trick.
