Depends what you are using your PC for, if it's just for gaming the 2500k is more than enough but if it's for video editing, 3D modeling etc the 2600k would be better. Personaly even if I didn't need the 2600k but had the money for it I would get it but if you would rather just get what is best for you then the 2500k unless you need that extra bit of power.

If it's for gaming the 2500k and 580 sounds good, wait for price drops though the 6990 is out tomorrow apparently so the 580 may drop in price.

hope so...

but i dont get the money until 7th may:L

You've got plenty of time then

the 590 should be out before then and i'm guessing not long after the the 6990 tbh so prices for the 580 should have definietly droped by then.

I certainly hope that the prices drop.

My setup I wanna get is almost the same, 2600k, muskin blackline 2x2 2000Mhz and a p8p67 Deluxe.

I will mostly do gaming, but also programming for the next 9 years (thats 3 years high school, 6 in university

I may upgrade in university but it prob wont happen), but I doubt that I'll video editing and modeling.

Hmmm, the setup you getting looks good. 580 is alot of power. But TBH the 560 can run almost every game... Above 40 frames on full graphics (excluding physx, that engine is just a power eater)

Im not shure which will last longer in the long term run. A cpu with threads or one without. Applications will defenitly use threading someday... Hopefully. Like BF3 will be able to use up to 12 cores I believe or its crysis 2. So ya, thats allot
