I got my HD2900 and on the back of the box I noticed it saying that there should be a coupon inside the box, I found nothing...

The XT does, the Pro does not.

Ok thank you, I guess the notice is printed on all boxes because ATI are lazy? I hate it when they do that, although I wasn't expecting a free game with it anyway.

Well that`s bizarre, if it was on the box u had, I`d`ve thought u`d`ve had it.

Wow. ` does not = '. If you're still in school, I bet your English teachers have a field day when they read one of your essays. :rollingla

Is using ` some new trend? Do people think it's cool? Seems as if it is...

hehe no, when I was in school, computers were few and far between.

For 20 or so years I`ve been having to put up with this cos of an unholy transition from a uk c64 to an american amiga keyboard to a uk one then having to use a pc keyboard on an amiga build. I get squiggles on a mac :p

english teacher lmao!

After about the first decade I said fcuk it! and add extra ones just to annoy ;)

Just to ask, how many heatpipes does that card have?

I heard the HIS 2900pro has 3 rather then 2 in most other cards, so I was wondeirng if thats because its HIS or because its 2900pro.

My Sapphire 2900 Pro's (2) have both had three heatpipes. Seems as if the only ones that come with two heatpipes are the 1GB versions.. odd.

Ok it came with HL2 DM and Lost Coast, I also have a new problem...It's not working on Vista. I uninstalled my Nvidia drivers before I added the HD2900 and when Vista first started it was fine until I installed the drivers that came with it, I've also tried the latest drivers in safe mode. What happens is as soon as Vista starts I get a blue screen error and then it restarts, I wanna know if I can fix it without reinstalling Vista. (I'm in XP at the moment and all is fine)

Boot into vista in safe mode (video drivers should be disabled) then un-install all the video drivers and reboot in normal mode. It should boot into vista and you should be able to have another go installing the drivers.

I already tried that, I've started reinstalling anyway. I just hope that a reinstall works, I had a great time trying out all my games at max setting on Xp though :D

Nope no luck after reinstalling, and I'm quite frankly getting P*ssed off with ATi always making crappy drivers, No offence to ATI fans but I bet if it was Nvidia it would be working by now.

Really makes me wonder what people do to have issues. Never had any issue like this, with any of my NVIDIA or ATI setups.

Huh thats odd...Control center sais It's in PCI-E x4? Does it work in PCI-E x4? Because that might explain it...I'm actually hoping it is because it also displays the memory and core speed and there three times lower...:yumyum: ANd I have a PCI-E X16 motherboard somewhere else.
