Hi all
This pic if from the Corsair website, anyone know what motherboard it is? Really like the overall look of this system.

Anyother suggestions for a good MB for a black/red build would also be a great help

Asus ROG Rampage 3 Extreme.

I think.

And for red and black any of the post 1366 ROG boards will fit.

Yeah, I wouldn't buy 1366 now...

Go for Rampage IV extreme or Maximus V formula/extreme

Its MATX and personally I think an MATX motherboard in an ATX case looks rather horrid

if considering a GENE, an mATX really is the only option. small board in a mid to full
is counter-productive... and sorta odd-looking.

this is an ROG Rampage 3, as said above, stay away from 1366, go either 2011 or 1155, The Gene is a great Mobo for overclocking if you have limited space to work with, but for a midi or full tower case, look into the mobos as metioned prior by jamesriley94

Either way, if you wish to stay with the red and black, your price will have to increase if you are looking to stay with a reputable dealer. I'd say 250-300 on price.

good looking out. had no idea the price difference. the only thing that I would have as a reservation in using the MPower would be the yellow accents they use on the heatsinks in a red and black rig.

Awesome So.. Asus Sabertooth Z77 vs Maximus? Would you spend the extra? I'm not keen on MSI stuff, used to test some of their GFX cards back in the day and they where shocking

For Z77 motherboards, MSI are actually the best out there IMO. A lot of members on here feel the same way.

The sabretooth isn't really worth the extra even... You get pretty much the same features and performance as the mpower, but you pay an extra £50 or so for the thermal armor which does nothing.

Asus make some very good products. But they are overpriced for what you get in reality. MSI offer similar performing products to the sabretooth, and maximus, at far less of a cost.
