Do not clean you xspc res out with rice !!!!

lol i know this is daft and everything i know i know take the pish all you want lmao...

but i was running out of ideas of how to clean out this res and i though if i put rice in and shook it about loads it would clean the walls of the res it turns out there is a tiny gap in front of the pump in the res where rice can get in and get stuck :S

so now i have to constantly monitor my temp cause a bit of rice stops the pump and i have to take it apart and put the tap on it lol

tbf though it did clean it a fair bit

All you need to do is flush out with distilled water, into a filter, what were you thinking with rice? Its only going to soften, get stuck in your pump and break up and make your problem worse.

lolz the res was dry when i put the rice in but it got stuck while it was dry then expanded when i was constantly trying to flush it out with water :S but yes i know it was stupid
