ANyone know of a PC driving simulator? Like actually driving..not racing but driving in the city and stuff with red lights etc...

thanks!

Driving with a steering wheel on any simulation is pretty much totaly different to driving in real life.

Your best best would be find a mate with a feild and buy a £/$50 POS car and drive it round there.

i dont think the gardener would be best pleased if i drove over all his flowers, or quite frankly drove over all the hungover chavs

But you'd be doing society a favor :p

Tis exactly how I learned to drive - A mates field + Metro 1.3GT = One overheating metro :)

I learnt to drive in a field too :D

The very best way to learn is to get some lessons then spend a lot of time on a car (i.e. your parents or your own)

Thanks Raven! That game looks good, I'm going to definately check it out. There was so much spam in here I couldn't tell if it was a real post or not! Reps for not posting spam like a;most every other post!

was enough without me adding to it ;)

btw there is a midtown madness 2 too.

dont actually remember if i tried the second one but the first is basicly a racing game but can drive around the city without racing too and follow the traffic, lights and drawbridges.

Well, you could play GTA on the PC. You get to drive around, there are red lights (in more than one way) and for the stuff, well, I suppose shooting someone in the head with a heatseaking RPG wouldn't go a miss.

However, Midtown madness is probably your best bet.

I have MM2, I've had the CD since 01. It's fun, but the handling and AI is terrible :(

Overall pretty fun though.

bit old thread now, but theres a game called 18 wheels of steel...my mate always plays it.

its a trucker simulation, driving across america sticking to the law, might be worth looking at that
