Hi guys

yeah title basically says it all, just wanted to know the difference because im thinking about putting my 560ti under water and wanted to know whether i should sell my KFA2 and buy a evga and use a full cover wb or keep and use a universal, properly a newbie at water cooling closest ive been to wc is a h50 lol

Full cover blocks do what the name says really. They cover the whole card RAM 'n' all. Where as generally universal blocks mount onto the GPU and only cool the GPU chip itself meaning the RAM etc need to have heat sinks put on them. A full cover block looks cleaner imo aswell. It's preference really, or budget, full cover tend to be more expensive.

Full cover usually only work on reference designs as well unless someone happens to make a special version. A universal block will fit on most cards, but at the expense of not cooling the rest of the card (ram/vrm).

so how would i go about cooling the ram if i was to use a universal, or should i just buy a ref pcb and get a full cover, money isnt really a issue just wondered whether its worth bothering with

If money isn't an issue then go full cover w/ reference card. Better cooling overall and looks much better than a unversal.
