DFI NF4 SLI-D Official EPUK thread

Nice 1 I am still playing with my settings after 10 1/2 hours of memtest 11 x 295 I got 2 errors in test 8??? not sure if I up my mem volts it errors out real fast I think my cpu hate high volts too as I was running sandra burn in last night and woke up to a black screen it seems my cpu wouldnt reboot into windows I dropped the volts to 1.7 and bang no problems so I am back to testing

Hey maverik-sg1 does having all the chipset volts on the controller and chipest help stablise your system??

And also you should still be able to keep your HTT/LDT at 4x thats what mine is at 295fsb

Cheers for the information Fatty, please can you tell which BIOS you are using, I'll flash to that then try 4xHTT/LDT.

Cheers

Damn was hopeing that the new Bios that was released on my B'Day was gonna fix all my probs...

did it Fook !

RMA time i think...

memtest built in eh? Sounds good.

What about the new releases as detailed in this thread, have you tried them? If you have what did you think?

My ram is 1:1 too, just rebenched using 4xHTT in superpi32m, down to 24m16s :D

Excellent, seems I don't have to change BIOS just yet.

Nice not tried the newer ones yet I still need to get mine 100% stable it will memtest ok then it migh crap out in super pi so?? need to fart about with it more I guess and there are so many mem settings

Do you run both your HTT/LDT and chipset voltages as high as they go all the time??

Yep all as high as they can go (1.6v and 1.8v) 24/7 100% stable even after 6 hours of video encoding.

Just contemplating a clean install to try and maximise all my scores again with 4xHTT/LDT

If superpi 32m craps out, drop your CPU FSB by 2 or 3Mhz thats how I found my most stable settings ;)

i'm using the 3.10P (Performance Bios) not sure of there much difference between the 3.10 bioses but i can now run 260HTT 4x HTT/LDT @ 3.3v rather than with 3.4v.

FATTY,

CAn you take pic of ur bios setting ?? I want to try the setting you have on my system. I have 3200+winchester/ocz3200rev2/ 2x 6800gt.

I am currently running at 300x9/ 4x HTT/LDT mem@3.4V | vcore@1.5v 126%.

Can people post the volts they are using for there TCCD RAM for the DFI SLI-DR:

Mine is running 275 1:1 1t 2.5-3-3-6 @ 3.1v still running of the 3.3v jumper not the 5v.

Does anyone know if moving to the 5v line adds to the stability?

Cheers

No point running with the 5V line, you'll just end up with a very hot mobo.

Eventually got mine working ok now.Turns out it was the FX chip :( Dodgy mem controller.

Got a 3000 Winchester in now. What a chip!

This is with a XP120 and Thermaltake thunderblade fan.

3D stable at 2.75.

Allowed us to get some new scores:

05 - 10570 - http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=747485

03 - 22560 - http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=3871955

01 - 30235 - http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=8518733

Think i'll be keeping this chip for a while :D

Platty, those are some great scores, what a terrific overclock with that winchester CPU.

How you getting on with that VX - what speed is it running at and what timings are you using for them?

If you could post some screenies of the mem in CPUID and a couple of BIOS screenies for the DRAM settings on the DR mobo it would be great - my mate has the same ram as you (with FX55) but is struggling with stability (TCCD works great)

Any help you can post or PM would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Nice one Fatty I'll put that one in me favourites for when I get the TCCD Bug again ;) .

I am after detailed RAM settings on the Lanparty SLI-DR MOBO for OCZ VX RAM at the moment, Platty has a rig just like the one I need the ram settings for - the VX stuff I am playing with at the moment is stubborn as hell - any help with VX timings (not the 2-2-2-6 but the detailed stuff in the DFI BIOS) would be appreciated.

Cheers

Mav

Those ram timings from xtreme systems are the settings i've been using. Seem to give good speed and stability. 2.9v through the ram.

1.3 ldtv and 1.6 chipset voltage.

Am actually putting the VX up for sale. Happy with this G Skill.

Ahhhhhhh,

I thought that overclock was with the VX, Gskill TCCD just loves high FSB. How did you get on with the VX stuff?

Any advice on VX timings?
