What are better drivers for raid0 on this motherboard the NV or Sli ones?

I have 2x74gb raptors for raid0

And 160gb backup drive

So far ive tryed the sli one`s but i cannot get my backup drive to show up in my computer,it is in Device manager, ive got my raptors on Sata 5+6 and backup on Sata 1

Ta :)

Well SLI drivers wont RAID anything mate lol, you need the Silicon Image ones or NV Raid.

I'd use the NV Raid personally, it's SATA-II

LOL and the drives are not sata II

I have the same drives on the Sil 3114 chip and my sata II drives on the NVraid ports as they get used at sata II.

yup, the performance will be limited to the speed of the slower disk though.

:)

SATAII is just a capability- totally backwards compatable with SATAI, for a change

SATA-II is not compatible with SATA-I mate, it's the other way round ;)

I was thinking that I could buy SATA-II disks and use them on SATA-I but after speaking to a few guys at work it's not possible. I read up and Hitachi also say the same.

I`m convinced it`ll work...only one way to find out! :p

Wouldnt that mean a SATAII disk will only work on an NF4 Ultra/SLI mobo?

any conditions on "working" ?

I think i`ve had my Spinpoint hooked up to my flatmates Abit NF7-S, as a slave mind, and I could transfer files fine?
